Community Support

Our Adult Services provide community support with a range of options for individuals

Our goal is to help individuals live independently, have opportunities for social development, and participate in community and recreational activities and events.

Residential services help individuals gain independence

With our residential services, we can create living environments that meet the needs of independent adults. To help individuals prepare for living in their own residence, we develop skills and find suitable homes with the necessary adaptations. Services vary based on need and choice.

We also support individuals who live independently by providing them with assistance as necessary. These can include help with shopping, banking, budgeting, meal preparation, self care, and general supervision. In-home care can be provided as needed, from a couple hours a week to full time care.

Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) to help individuals live their life

An Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) is a place where someone with a disability can choose to live and get the services that help them live their life. These facilities have staff and aides who work there 24 hours a day. The provider is responsible for all aspects of care for the people being served, including financial matters, transportation, habilitation and medical needs.

ICFs are licensed by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) to be operated by a specific provider at a specific location. The Ohio Department of Health certifies the licensed facility. Those living in an ICF may share a bedroom.
